Export your memory from Claude

Unlike ChatGPT, Claude has a built-in settings page that shows your entire memory profile in one place — no prompting required.

1

Open your memory settings

In Claude, go to Settings → Capabilities. You'll see your complete memory profile — response instructions, personal information, projects and goals, and technical preferences — already organized into sections.

2

Copy your memory profile

Copy the entire profile shown there and save it somewhere (a text file, a note, or straight into the next step). Claude's own view is already clean and human-readable, so there's no reformatting step needed here.

Import memory into Gemini

Google built an official, dedicated tool for this — it accepts either a pasted memory summary or a full exported chat-history file.

1

Open Gemini's import page

Google built a page specifically for bringing your context in from another AI service.

2

Paste your profile, or upload your chat export

Paste your already-formatted memory profile directly, or — uniquely among the services we cover — upload a full .zip chat-history export instead. Gemini will process either.
